Biography

Mary was born in 1838. She was the daughter of John Gibson and Mary Brown.

On June 14 1918 Mary and William celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. ^[1]

Mary died on the 1 October 1918 at her home, 4 Royal Terrace, Dunedin. ^[2] She was buried on the 3 October 1918 at the Andersons Bay Cemetery. Her plot is 58 in Block 41. Also buried in this plot is her husband William Lang Bannatyne, and her only daughter Mary Gibson Bannatyne. ^[3]
