He was baptised on 30/6/1822 in Morden, Dorset. His parents were Robert Gollop and Mary Cousins. His father was a labourer.
In 1861 he was age 42 born Morden, Dorset, living in Lytchett with his wife Mary A. age 39 and five children. He was a Carter.
In 1871 he was age 47 born Morden East, living in Lytchett with his wife Mary Ann age 46 and children Elizabeth Louise age 19, Charles William 13, ? James 8, Rose Ellen 5 and William Samuel 3 weeks. He was a labourer. Online records have the surname as Gollop.
In 1881 he was age 57 born Mordon, Dorset, living in Lytchett as a widower with two children Tom age 17 and Rosina 14, and his father in law Samuel Daw age 78.
On 20/1/1886 in Morden Dorset he married Harriett Pope (nee Johnstone), widow. His father was listed as Robert Gallop labouer, and her father was listed as Henry Johnstone, labourer. He was illiterate.
He was still alive when his daughter Rosina married in 1887.
In 1901 he was age 78 and living with his wife Harriett Gallop age 60, born Lytchett and her three children in Morden Dorset. His birthplace was listed as Morden, Dorsett.
Death records are under the name Gallop and have his age as 86.
By 1911 his wife was a widow.
