Biography
Augusta Maria Fisher, daughter of Richard Fisher and his wife, Augusta Martin, was born at Eaton Place in Belgravia on 16 September 1839. [1] She was baptised at her father's family home in Linton, Cambridgeshire on 1 November 1839 probably by the Vicar of Linton, her grandfather, Edmund Fisher. [2] She was educated at home at 30 Eaton Place in Belgravia. [3]
Augusta Maria died at Genoa in Italy on 30 July 1862. Presumably she was travelling with her parents. She was buried in the English cemetery of S.Benigno, near Genoa. [4]
In Genoa (Italy) there is a grave with this script: AUGUSTA MARY FISHER / THE ONLY CHILD / OF RICHARD TROTT FISHER / OF EATON PLACE LONDON / AND LINCOLNS INN / WAS BORN IN EATON PLACE SEPT 16 1839 / AND DEAD AT GENOA JULY 30 1862 / BLESSED BE HER MEMORY [5]
Her death was registered at Greenwich. [6]
