Obit in The Orilla Packet and Times of 3 Apr 1930 reads: Mrs Robert SMITH. After an illness which had extended over some time, Clarinda Minto Smith, widow of the late Robert Smith, died at her home 78 Front-street, on Sunday Mar 23, in her sixty-third year. Mrs Smith was a daughter of the late Robert Fairbairn and Clarinda Hains, and was born at Fairvalley, Mara, on Jun 24, 1867. There she lived until 1908 when she moved to Orilla. in 1898 she had been married to Mr Robert Smith of Fairvalley, son of the late John Smith and Mary Walker, who predeceased her in 1914 (sic). Mrs Smith leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs Howard Page (Clarinda), and one sister Mrs Duncan Gillespie, Whitby. The funeral was held on Wed, Mar 26, to St Andrews Cemetery. Service was conducted by the Rev W E Baker, and the pallbearers were six nephews, Messrs Andrew and James Ross, Orilla; Andrew and Milton Page, Udney; Walter Ross, Uppergrove and William Page, Beaverton^[4]
