Roy Douglas Fairbairn was born on May 15, 1912 in Sandwich South Township, Essex, Ontario, Canada, son of George Fairbairn (1874–1919) and Elizabeth Amelia Frith (1875–1964).[1]

Roy died on February 16, 1978 in London, Ontario, aged 65. He was buried in Fairbairn Cemetery, Windsor, Essex County, Ontario.[2]

FAIRBAIRN — Roy Douglas, 65 years, Feb. 16, 1978 at University Hospital, London, late of RR 2 Maidstone. Beloved husband of Marion (nee MacCalumn). Dear father of George, Maidstone; Mrs. Ben Bikkers (Elaine), London; 2 grandchildren. Dear brother of Lloyd, Mrs. Leonard Gullick (Margaret), Mrs. Arthur Greaves (Helen), Mrs. Lloyd Reeb (Florence), Maidstone; Mrs. Maurice Davison (Edith), Wheatley; Mrs. John Jenking (Bessie), Rutherglemn. Resting at the Stewart L. Kennedy Funeral Home, 128 Talbot St. N., Essex, funeral service Mon., 3:30 p.m., Rev. Glenn Brown officating. Interment Fairbairn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
