Two claims for £5000 damages were settled on undisclosed terms. In one case Reginald Neville Drury, of Stevenson-street, Taree, had sought damages from William Edward West, of Albert-lane, Taree. In the other action, Walter Hughes, of Nott-street, Merewether, had claimed against Douglas George Anderson, of Errington-avenue, New Lambton.

Abram Landa and Co. appeared for Drury; Mr. N. D. Wheeler for Hughes, and Mr. M. Forbes, of the Crown Solicitor's Office, for both defendants.
