Lorraine Selina was born in 1927. She passed away in 2012.
Lorraine Selena "Margaret" Hamm was born June 2, 1925 in the Teddington District, Melfort Census Division, Saskatchewan, a daughter of Martin Hamm. She was adopted by him and his wife Aganetha (nee Friesen), grew up in the district and attended school. In 1940 "Margaret" met Peter T. Brown when he was working on her parents' farm. They were married November 29, 1944 at the United Church Manse, attended by only her parents and her mother's friend Anna Harder. Peter had a farm at Teddington, SK, They moved to B.C. where he bought a farm at Clearwater and purchased small 2 bedroom house in town across from her cousin. They also had 24 acres at Blackpool, mostly mountainside, with lots of animals and fowl. Between 1946 and 1968 they had seven children; then separated and divorced. She also lived in Osoyoos, B.C. Lorraine Selena Brown passed away June 27, 2012 . Here is her obituary:
In Memory of Lorraine Braun June 2, 1927 - June 27, 2012 Lorraine Selina Braun (1927-2012) of Osoyoos passed away suddenly at the South Okanagan General Hospital on June 27, 2012. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Graham Funeral Home, 5920 Kootenay Street (99th St), Oliver, (250) 498-3833.
