The Wight DNA project is interested in hearing from any descendant of the Wight patriarchs listed here who has tested their DNA.

Particularly if you are a direct male line descendant as you carry the yDNA signature for your line.

Descendants not on the direct line need not feel neglected, your autosomal DNA is still of interest, and can indeed aid the discovery of interconnected lines - it just takes a bit more work to figure out where such connections are than it does with yDNA.

If you have tested, please consider registering with WikITree, connecting yourself up to at least any of your direct ancestors who may already be on WikiTree, and showing what DNA tests you have undertaken.

Wikitree will then propagate links through the relevant connected pedigrees to show those interested in exploring DNA.
