Biography

US Black Heritage Project
James Carter is a part of US Black heritage.

When James Thomas Carter was born on October 17, 1763, his father, Isaac, was 29 and his mother, Bertha, was 28. He had seven sons and one daughter with Sarah Carter. He died in 1821 in Robeson, North Carolina, at the age of 58.

It would seem to make more sense that this James is the son of James Carter born in 1734. Isaac Carter was his brother.
