This profile is part of the Watten, Caithness One Place Study.

In 1851 Elizabeth is recorded on the census as living in Bilbster, in the parish of Watten, Caithness, with her father Alexander and siblings William, Alexander Junior, Margaret, Magnus, Christina and Catherine. Elizabeth's trade was house servant. Also living with the family was a journeyman shoemaker, David Gunn.[1]
