Biography

When William A. "Will" Beatty was born in December 1861 in Darke County, Ohio, his father, Jacob Beatty, was 23 and his mother, Margaret Smith, was 22. He married Alice M Shreyer on February 19, 1885, in Bartholomew County, Indiana. They had five children in 17 years: Bertha, Dessie, Cora, Webber and Forrest. He died on May 20, 1917, in Columbus, Indiana, at the age of 55, and was buried there.
