Jane has left a very large family tree, it is well researched and very close family - wonderful people.
Jane died from cancer, aged 37 years, leaving a young family of six children. Five left a large number of descendants. One son William died aged 27 in a forestry accident.

FIRE NEAR WAIUKU Mrs. William Holland’s residence at Whiriwhiri was destroyed by fire yesterday morning. The occupants of the building were out in the paddock picking potatoes when the fire started. Nothing was saved but a box of clothing, which Mrs. Holland endangered her life in getting out, having her hair singed. There is an insurance of £50 on the house, I believe, in the Commercial Union, The furniture was not insured. NOTES.....(another family tree) This fire belongs to another person of the same name: HOLLAND On January 17, 1889, after a long and painful illness, at his residence, Whirlwhirl, Waiuku, William Holland, late of H. M. 58th Regt., and of Gayton, Norfolk, England, aged 58 years. English papers please copy.
William Holland, Born in Gayton,Norfolk in c1823 His father's name was Robert and his mother's name was Annah (nee Moore) He joined the 58th Rutlandshire Regiment of Foot in 1842 and went to Australia, Norfolk Island and then New Zealand. He died in 1889.
