Biography

John was born in January 1900 in R.M. of Sifton, Manitoba. He was the son of Robert Barclay and Anne Coulter who were farmers near Hartley, Manitoba. He grew up in the Jansen, Saskatchewan area. John signed up to serve in World War I on 26 June 1918 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. John married Margaret, had five children and worked in Edmonton, Alberta. John passed away in April 1991 in Edmonton. He was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Edmonton.
