Biography
John Bain was a retired farmer in 1851 when he was living on the Bain family farm at Backless in the parish of Watten with his wife, daughter and grandchildren Isabella and George Shearer.
Born abt 1772, Watten, Caithness, Scotland.
Died between Dec 1851 and 1855, probably at Watten, Caithness, Scotland. Note: not obvious on SctP statutory deaths and seemingly alive when wife died[1]
