Research notes
The previous question about William Edward Fitz AUSTEN s/o William (porter) and Sarah (BLAKE) AUSTEN being one and the same as the William Edward AUSTIN/AUSTEN, born Bow 8 Nov 1869, s/o William AUSTIN, engineer, and marrying Alice Maud CARTER would appear to have been resolved given:
William Edward Fitz AUSTEN was definitely born 8 Nov 1869 (birth cert.)
The William married to Alice was supposedly born 8 Nov 1869 Bow (1939 register).
only one applicable birth index entry immediately obvious in the GRO index
Both have a father William but I have to confess occupations seem to vary somewhat (porter vs engineer) and neither William Edward has yet been found in the 1891 census.
A plus for this id is the 1891 census for William Edward Sinclair's parents where his sister Ada is described as born Bow.
Where were either / both of the William Edwards in 1891???????
