Biography

The daughter of Silas Scott Austin (1845-1888) and Sarah E. Acker (1845-1920), Augusta Austin was born in Macon Township, Michigan^{[citation needed]} in 1869, residing there with her family.^[1][2] Her siblings included:

3. Bertha Austin (1870-1870)
4. John Acker Austin (1872-1953)
5. LaVern Silas Austin (1875-1962)
6. Cora M. Austin (1877-1926)

Augusta married Erastus Beavers Pennington, marrying in Clinton Township, Michigan on January 4, 1887^[3] and having two known children together. They made their home together in Macon Township, Michigan, farming.^[4][5][6][7]

Widowed in 1938, Augusta Pennington passed away in Detroit, Michigan^[8][9] at the age of 69 and is buried in the Pennington family plot at Macon Cemetery in Macon Township, Michigan.^[10]
