Robert Ashfield, esq. of Stowlangtoft, Suffolk is the son of:

• Robert Ashfield of Stowlangtoft;
• and Alice (d. 21 Jan 1546), dau. of Sir Thomas Jermyn of Rushbrooke and sis. of Sir Ambrose Jermyn.
