Descendants of William Malcolm, an early pioneer in the Bute District, recently gathered to lay a headstone on his grave which had remained unmarked for nearly 119 years.

On his death in 1888 William was buried on Lincolnfields Farm. The Dennis family became the new owners of Lincolnfields Farm and as with their forebears, Malcolm and Lindley Dennis, the current owners, have continued to maintain the grave site.

Pictured unveiling the headstone are (from left) Malcolm Dennis and representatives of surviving generations - Emily Harvey (great, great, great granddaughter), Jim Malcolm (great grandson) and Tanya Harvey (great, great granddaughter).
