Brick wall: Parents of Thomas Campbell

Question

Thomas Campbell was born in 1807 and died in Vermilion County, IL in 1873. In 1850, he and his wife Margaret (Morrison) were living in Muskingum County, Highlands Township, Ohio with their younger son, James. Thomas and Margaret had another son, Thomas Morrison Campbell, who had his own homestead in 1859. I'd like to find the parents of Thomas Campbell, born in 1807.

Not that this tells you who his parents were, but if you can secure a copy of the record itself, quite often I have seen where the parents were listed on the record "Father's name" "Mother's name" -- possibly it might be on the license record to marry
