The will of Adam Wyntrope of Groton, Suffolk, gentleman, late Clothmaker and Citizen of London was made on 20th Sep 1562.
“my boddie to be buried in the parrish churche yarde of Groton”
To the poor people of Groton 40 [probably shillings]
To John Wyntropp my son the lease and whole term of years of my manor house wherein I now do dwell .. nevertheless I give the said lease and manor house unto Agnes my wife during her natural life.
To Agnes my wife all my manor of Groton with the advowson of the benefice there .. during her natural life
To Agnes my wife during her natural life all his lands tenements etc which he had purchased from Thomas Facon and the lands etc from John Doget with all the lands which he had of Francis Clapton esquire.
To Agnes my wife during her natural life all the lands which he bought of Rose Bonde widow and after the decease of Agnes the said manor and advowson of the benefice and all the lands he had of Thomas Facon and John Doget and those lands he exchanged with Mr Clapton and the lands from Rose Bonde widow unto John Wyntropp [end of page]
