Chares Pickering, arrived as a convict in 1807. I have been searching from his birth date/place for a long time. The only hint I have is that one of the convict musters indicates that his birthplace was Worcester. He was 37 when he arrived, so birth date is around 1770 and his trade was carpenter. I don't know that this matches your Charles. This one had 2 kids, Charles jnr, born 1814 who settled in Fiji with many 'wives' and therefore children. He has hundreds on descendants in Fiji. The 2nd chld was Mary Ann, born in1818. She married John Greenwood who had arrived as a free settler in 1811, aged 4. If this is the same Charles you are researching, I would love to here from you.
