How do I correct an ALLEN profile that has morphed into a different person when a maiden name is not known

RE: [Allen-17447]   with   [Rogers-9645|David B Rogers]  as an associated profile of interest relating to Betsy A. Rogers, not Betsy Allen Rogers.

ALL the info in this profile belong to a Betsy A (maiden name not known) Rogers (not BETSY ALLEN Rogers).  It gets more complicated - both are married to a David Rogers (not the same).  I don't know if "my" Betsy Allen's husband had a middle initial B. I hope not. There are at least 3 Betsy women married to 3 David B Rogers already, and I did not want to add my Betsy Allen's husband until the other 3 David B's referenced in the Rogers profile [Rogers-9645|David B Rogers] and his research notes were in place.  See the 2 sources I entered into his Research Notes area for more info on that. People interested in working on the Rogers surname may want to work on it.

BACK TO MY PROBLEM:  Betsy A (maiden name not known) is not the Betsy Allen Rogers I originally entered in 2015 as [Allen-17447]. My Bestsy Allen morphed into a different Betsy A. Rogers.  This was supposed to be Betsy Allen who married a David Rogers, born 18 April 1799 in Rhode Island - died 19 Jan 1866 in Sandwich, DeKalb, IL (My location).  She married a David Rogers (born 1796 - died 1883), son of David Rogers (b1770 - d 1853).  I don't know how to correct this. I would like to change what this profile has become to this Betsy A's maiden surname, but I do not know it or know how to do handle adding a new profile if only the married surname is known.  The A. could be a maiden surname letter OR a second given name initial.

Since Betsy Allen is a correct maiden surname for the person I intended it to be.  Should I take all of the info from this profile and place in a new profile for Betsy A? How would I do that without a maiden surname?  Can anyone help?

Here I thought I was finally tackling a profile that had a problem since 2015.  An incorrect daughter was linked - I corrected that and then I derailed but didn't realize until I pulled my own ancestry tree from ancestry.com to crosscheck facts and found that "MY" Betsy Allen Rogers had been lost in the shuffle.  Thanks for any help on this.

I think you need to refer to them by their maiden names and leave the married names out until it is sorted. Way to confusing.

1) Is Allen-17447 really Betsy A. Unknown? If so, change her surname to Unknown.

2) Allen-17447 was created by you in 2015. Just assume it is the profile of your Betsy and add all the info in. There are no other people connected to the profile so connect the correct husband and move on.

3) Add a note int the bio warning not to confuse this couple with the other couple. You should likely add the same note on the other couples profile's.
