Why can't 2/29/1874 birth date be added to Evelyn Slusher-262?

This is an error on the suggestion list that saves but is blank the next time it is accessed, Is 2/29/1874 not a leap year?

Even when it's written in stone, it's still incorrect! Be sure to Should we blame the stone mason, the informant, the undertaker, and/or someone else, Sue?

I wonder if a specific alert banner can be created to let us know "That was not a leap year!"

Because the leap years were 1872 and 1876. There was no February 29th in 1874.

News Flash!  I am a Leap Year Baby :-)  I just wanted to let everyone know that since it is such a rare birthday.  In the "old days" many places where I tried to enter my birthdate on the computer wouldn't allow it because the system wasn't set for February 29th. So I would have a birth date of Feb 28th. Glad times have changed.
