Is Thomas Waters the father of Philemon Waters? Proof

Question

I am having trouble relating Philemon Waters,b.1711 to his father? Would that be Thomas Waters b.1680 or Philemon Waters?

Still am having difficulty with this huge family and multiple same names.

I can trace (prove) up to Philemon Waters - 374; am having real difficulty and going further. Is he related to Thomas Waters - 371? Then to William Waters- 2523, 2250 or 222?

Lori, I appreciate the information. The first two references seem to indicate William Waters 2nd is the father of Thomas Waters who is the father of Philemon Waters Sr. what I need is proof of the relationships, wills, probate, marriage, birth or death notices. Are you aware of any of the proof or citations.
