Add Jewish Diaspora Category

Richard Lowenstein escaped Germany to avoid the Nazi regime and came to the US in 1939. Is there a category to reflect this that can be added to his profile? If so, please do that for me. Thanks

Hi Beth. It's here:

Category: Jewish Diaspora

All you need to do is add the line

at the top of the biography text, above the ==Biography== heading.

Thanks so much, Jim! I did as you instructed but the category box is not showing, so I did something wrong I guess. Please advise

Will this suffice to include him in the category Jewish Immigrants to America? Or is there a separate line for that?

Hi Beth - you can add   Thanks!

Thanks so much Elaine. Richard escaped to Romania from Germany and then to the US in 1939. Is this still the right category?
Yup! And you can add any city categories that you wish, as well.
Super! But when I copied and pasted the line at the top of ===Biography== nothing appeared, as I explained in my response to Jim. So I once I figure out what I'm doing wrong, I'll add the Holocaust one as well. Thanks again!
Beth, the diaspora category is visible on the profile now. Look almost at the bottom of the page (or just above the biography or in the right margin if you are using the WikiTree Browser Extension option for that).
Thanks so much, Jim. Looking at the profile page in Edit, to see what you had done, I had done it correctly; but was expecting to see a box with an image or at least "Jewish Diaspora" in a box at the top right. Guess that box I see on some profiles is something different than a category. Thanks again! Beth

Hi again, Beth. The boxes you mention sound like stickers. Maybe I've missed something but the closest one I can find is the Jewish Roots sticker. To add it to a profile you manage, you would insert the following text immediately below the ==Biography== line:

Jewish Roots Sticker

Thanks so much, Jim, for all of your assistance. It's quite the serendipity that my return to Richard Lowenstein/Lowen coincided with the Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Ah, sticker not category. Got it!
