My Wiki Browser extension for Safari doesn't do anything

I have a MacBook Pro & have installed Extension v 1.16.7. It is  switched on in the Safari settings & I can see your yellow logo next to my search bar. Yes, I have refreshed my page many times in the past week since I first loaded it.

Can someone please explain in simple English what I haven't done? I am 73 not 23, so no jargon please sad

Me too. Night night
Can you check your operating system version (iOS)?  I heard about a case where someone had iOS 16.2 and WBE didn't work.  Updating the OS fixed the problem with WBE.

I presume you just made a typo when you said "all the File Menu options have been 'on' for days now" and that you know it is the Find menu as described here and not Safari's File menu. smiley

And just to make 100% sure. This is what you see when you go to Safari/Preferences/ and click the Extensions icon (except that the drop-down menu on the left will no longer be there and you should have only one WBE extension showing)?

In the extension settings, the heading is 'File Menu'.

In answer to Ian Beacall, I have MacOS Venture v13.0

I also have another Windows pc running Chrome, so I installed it on that one this morning (painlessly & quickly) & hey presto! I could immediately see that there was a relationship-to-me panel at the top of my great-aunt's page. I went into Edit & there was the AGC box, which worked. It is certainly not there on my Mac.
I am sorry, I find no File Menu in the WBE extension settings. Can you describe what comes before and after it?
Yes, it is there in Preferences, but not for much longer because I am going to uninstall it as a waste of time. I will just have to toggle between my machines when I need more than just the basics.

Thanks for trying Guys.
It should not just be there, but also have a blue tick-mark next to it. :) Sorry that it is not working for you. If you want to try again later, feel free to ask for help again.

It did have a tick, but maybe something else in Mac needs a tick or a kick. Don't know, don't care, RIP in the bin. I have about 1000 ged profiles to repair one by one crying

Thanks again

You can use WBE in Chrome on your Mac, if that helps.

Yes, I did, & they needed their heads banging together! It took them 10 mins to decide who was going to demo what, only to find that their screens weren't ready to share. When he did show what was possible, the screen was so small & cluttered that it wasn't possible to see what was being selected.

Ah! that was you, wasn't it? I learned very little. Sorry
Gee, I'm sorry to hear that too. You are my first bad review.

I'll let Greg know.

Sorry to have disappointed you.
