Newt Betts-5322 introducing myself

Question

Hello. I am Christopher Betts born and raised in Oregon, USA.
My paternal Grandfather was Charles E. Betts of The Dalles, Oregon. My father was John A. Betts of The Dalles, Oregon (1937-2013). I have recently discovered that my wife had an aunt Marie with the maiden name Betts of Seneca, Oregon who passed in 2023 in Boise, Idaho. I know of other Betts' in Oregon, but do not know how/whether any of them are related to me and my 2 siblings.

Welcome to WikiTree Christopher! As you look around WikiTree, you'll find that we already have a Betts One Name Study. So far most of our work is centered around Connecticut and New York and it would be very interesting to find if your Oregon Betts are descended from those in the East. The Betts' first arrived in the 1630s. My great-grandmother was Emily Ada Betts who lived in both Connecticut and New York. She married a widower, with a baby, from Pennsylvania.
