Advice before editing this pre-1700 Hope profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Bethia (Hope) Nairn. This is what I can add:

  • Her father was Hope-611

These are the sources I am using:

On 4th Feb 1704, William Nairn, younger of Dunsinan married Mrs Bethia Hope, daughter to the Lord Rankillor.

ScotlandsPeople: 1704 NAIRNE, WILLIAM BARONET (Old Parish Registers Marriages 685/ 1 Edinburgh) Page 158 of 187

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

I have added sources to the duplicate profile Hope-3957 for birth and both marriages. Source information should have all names, as seen, so others can find the sources.  The 2nd marriage was a bit more difficult because of how it was entered since Bethia had 'Hope or Lewis' as last name.

Please review Scotland Sourcing Help for citation format.

When merges are completed, bio will be combined for both profiles.  Thank you for finding the duplicate profiles.  Merge probably will not be able to be completed for 30 days since the other PM is not active.  After that date, anyone can complete the merge.
