I am trying to locate the parents of Amelia/Emaline who married John Gilmore Scott about 1824 in Nova Scotia. They had their family of 6 children in Goshen, Hants. The family legend is that her parents were Acadian and the name Trahan. I have some unusual mtDNA mutations for my haplogropup Anyone have mtDNA from Nova Scotia that is T2b3-C151T   ?

Welcome aboard, Cheri!

If you have not already, check out the Nova Scotia archives:

You can also try LAC census records.

Good luck with your research!
