Looking for parents of Alfred(Alford) Sellers of North Carolina.

Question

I have been searching for the parents of Alfred Sellers and I am unable to find a source. It is hard going back past 1850 as it becomes more speculation from the census data. If anyone thinks they could help, or have suggestions for me on where to look, that would be great. I have put information in the following link that should help anyone that is interested. I am hoping some DNA matches may help me with this. I have been tracking down those leads as well. Gedcom is not approved yet, so I do not have an ID for this person.

A book I found today that talks about the Eakers coming from Switzerland, via Penn. and on to Lincoln County NC.

This question popped-up on the Eaker Surnames page here on WikiTree. I have to admit I have been seeing your Sellers while I have been working on the Eaker lines for my Mom.

I have two people who have done DNA testing within the Eaker line - one is for the Neill family and is a Y-DNA test, so probably not much help, but I do have a test for auDNA that would be a good one to check for any kind of Eaker connection to your Sellers.

I looked to see what your DNA information was but unfortunately your profile is set to private which means I can't see anything about your DNA. If you set your privacy level to Private with Public Biography and Family Tree anyone wanting to collaborate with you on DNA can do so.

Have you posted to GEDMatch? If so we can compare the DNA there. Check this ID against yours if you already have a GEDmatch ID.Z308414
