Good, I see you found the category. Now I don't have to search for it. I knew the category for the Battle of Stones River already existed because I just used it on a soldier's profile yesterday.

Yes but for some reason the picker tool doesn’t show and I did look under civil war conflicts found first battle of Murfreesboro but not 2nd the the g2g connected to another I researched a few years ago and bingo found it! I’m trying to get all the union generals categorized to see relationship status so far no direct relations and we have 522 now categorized laugh

I don't recall how I found the category when I used it. I generally go down the list of conflicts till I find the one I am looking for. That's probably how I found it.

I have been working through the Generals (and Colonels) from Indiana and Illinois. So you may find a few that i have either credited or edited. On those that I create, I write the bio (I think I missed a couple and have to go back and check). I generally don't do all the connections.  I have been stockpiling Generals, Colonels and Medal of Honor Recipients from Indiana and Illinois that need more connections. Perhaps one month down the road, we will use those in a monthly challenge for the group. So if you see a General whose profile I credited, but lacks all his connections, that is the reason.
The Union Generals alone will be a huge undertaking just getting them categorized and added to Wikitree is quit the endeavor! Then of course the confederacy is the other half of it. It would be a fun challenge! Some of these Union Generals have a fascinating history!
Yes. So many of the Union generals came from powerful families. You find a lot of interesting people among their relatives.

Also, I have noticed that a great many of the Union Generals were distant cousins.

The picker tool sometimes gives me a headache. I’d still like to research more about this interesting Union General
