Advice before editing this pre-1700 Lefebvre dit Boulanger profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Louis (Lefebvre dit Boulanger) Lefebvre. This is what I can add:

  • Louis's LNAB should be Lefebvre

These are the sources I am using:

  • Fichier Origine

Very thin evidence, perhaps, but it's more a matter of there being NO evidence for Louis ever having been called Boulanger, as far as I know. No one has produced any. I'm pretty sure "dit Boulanger" started with Louis's son Claude, who migrated to Nouvelle-France.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

I have pre-1700 and France tags on the post, but no answer has been forthcoming. I can't edit the LNAB without some kind of extra permission. The profile manager has been active on WikiTree as recently as May but has not responded to my comment.

I agree that the LNAB should be changed. Only people on the trusted list of the profile can do this, so I think you should follow the procedure for unresponsive profile managers.

Merci!
