As genealogists, one of our most important duties is to provide accurate information and quality sources for information. In nearly every notable profile, we have had at least several primary sources. For instance, one can find on the profiles of Marilyn Monroe and Martin Luther King, Jr. multiple primary sources. However, this great standard falls short for one individual whose legacy relies heavily on genealogical research: Betsy Ross.
Ross's biography on WT is reliant on secondary sources and is very disorganized. To illustrate, it begins with ancestral notes rather than an introduction to her genealogical/family background. This makes the biographical section, in addition to the reliance on secondary sources, very disorganized, and (in my opinion) a profile that does not match the standards of a WT profile.
I have been researching Ross's life for several months now (intended for a potential book) and have worked on a rough draft of a potential framework that could be used for an improved WT profile. However, before any changes would be considered, I think it is necessary for input on potential changes, thus leading me to ask here.
