I have been researching my family tree for nearly 25 years.  I am interested in Gardiner, Haszard and Bramhall in the US.  In Canada, I am interested in MacDonald, Rogerson and Thomson on Prince Edward Island.

Welcome, Cindy!

I, too, have been researching for a long time (42+ years for me) but have recently decided to become active and work on posting my documented genealogy here on WikiTree.

For years I've been active on FamilySearch, and I'm a big believer in the collaborative single tree approach. But WikiTree is new and challenging for me. Nevertheless I definitely see the value in it.

I hope you, too, really see the benefit and value to contributing here and making the effort to document well. This is the place to help dispel those myths that have cropped up in your family from other badly sourced sites on the Internet!

Cheers,

Greg Lamberson

Hi, Cindy

Thank you for being a Guest Member of WikiTree.  Check out the Membership info and consider upgrading.  WikiTree is always 100% free, and you might find many cousins in WikiTree to help you add profiles to the one-world tree.

You can enter each last name in the Surname at the top o your profile and click the magnifying glass to get lists to everyone with that surname on WikiTree, and sort by alpha, birth, or death dates.  You may discover your family here.

Welcome!  We look forward to working with you!

Hi Cindy!

Welcome to WikiTree.  I hope you like it as much as I do!  If you have questions or need help, this is a great forum in which to ask - right there in G2G.  There is a bit of a learning curve here, but it does get easier as you do it, and again, lots of people willing to help!

Here is a file about a Thompson family in Prince Edward Island: https://www.islandregister.com/thompson2.html.

Here is a profile of Joseph Rogerson who married Catherine Mary Macdonald. He was born in Scotland, but they lived in Prince Edward Island: https://www.ancestry.ca/genealogy/records/joseph-l-rogerson-24-gv3dy9?geo_a=r&o_iid=41020&o_lid=41020&o_sch=Web+Property.
