WikiTree_Event_Images-4.pngDid you participate in our 15 For 15 mission and reach one of the milestones?

If so, please answer below and let us know if you achieved the 15 for 15, 30 for 15 or 45 for 15 so we can get you the appropriate sticker.

Thanks for participating and congratulations on hitting a milestone!

Yep, I would count that.
Do the Thank you's automatically record or do we have to track them ourselves?
Well I somehow had these replies go to a Spam folder (still no idea why some WikiTree emails end there but most go to the inbox) and thought no one ever followed up. I had an ongoing log after I completed the initial 15 but never posted to get a sticker because, again, I was unsure if the activities were applicable (instead of "counted" since the word appears the confusing culprit  :) ]

Is this still something available to note- and the place where I need to post what I did for finishing the 30 and 45?

   Cheers! Becky Elizabeth (Simmons-11603)
@Alice: Thank-yous do not track automatically. We need to record them on our own.

Since this is "do 15 of these in every month of the year," it would be very difficult to qualify if you  haven't started logging  thank-yous before now.
Am I too late to work on completing 15 missions for 2023?
Ellen is it to later for me to complete 15 missions for 2023?
Not too late at all! Most of the missions are not dependent on doing something every month of the year.

You may have completed some of the missions already, based on your edits and other activities since January 1st. :-)
Ellen thank you for mentioning that. I will have to go back and see what actually I have done since January.  What a wonderful suggestion.

@Matthew and anyone else keeping track, it's not difficult to create a free space page to track your 15, 30, 45. A lot of WTers have done this, and then you've also created a free-space page, which you may be able to count against that mission. So what you would do is copy the list of all the missions from the January post, then edit it with the items you've completed. I enjoyed doing this because it was my first effort at creating a free-space page, and great for learning.

Laura's 15 for 15 page

Yes that is what I did and it really helps.

I just started at the beginning of the list and went straight down, but had to skip 1 because it was also unsourced and I couldn't find any sources.

Hi Gaile, this G2G post is for tracking when you are done with 15 missions, not for tracking single missions, according to this post: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:15_For_15

Not according to the first statement of this post: Did you participate in our 15 For 15 mission and reach one of the milestones?

@Carolyn - "reach one of the milestones." (i.e. 15, 30 or 45 missions) not complete one of the missions.

Thank you for making it more clear what we are doing is 15 missions, rather than 15 in a mission.

Congrats on being the 1st to cross the 15 missions line.
What did you create for a Free Space page?
@Tommy: the Floyd Shaffer Family Bible:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Floyd_Shaffer_Family_Bible

I already had planned to add this for 2023 anyway, so now is a good time for doing so. I'll be adding photos to this soon.
@Patricia: Thank you! I know that you're close to getting 15 missions done as well!
Thanks for sharing your Free Space page. I'm interested in seeing what everyone who chooses this mission creates.
That's great, Eric! Congratulations!  You have the 15 For 15 sticker now. :-)

What did you create for a Free Space page?

I made a page to track the 15 for 15 tasks as I do them.
Way to go, Patricia! You've got the 15 for 15 sticker now. :-)
Thanks Eowyn. Now for the bigger challenge of trying for 30.
I thought you said the thank -you mission was for every month for the entire year.  So why is Patricia getting credit (no offense Patricia, just want clarification)  getting credit for a mission for that just for January.

@Carolyn, I understood the thank yous as monthly because all the other missions can be done by anyone joining in at anytime during the following months. Where as the thank yous mission could only be done by folks joining in now (January) if it requires participating every month for the whole year.  After Jan. 31 no new persons could do that mission.

But I do have more missions completed if the Thank you is a problem:

  • Increase CC7 # from 2318 (1/1/23) to 2468
  • Sourced 15 more Unsourced for 30
  • Connect-a-thon added 212 profiles
  • 5 more connected profiles for 10

Not a problem.  I was just trying to get clarification.  Eowyn stated above: "You are correct, the "thank you" mission would be one that would take all year, not a separate mission for every month of the year."  So I was confused.

I wish you well in doing your missions (if you are doing them) and feel free to ask for advice in how I managed my missions.
