Brick wall for exact DOB James Jepson

Hi,

Hope someone can help me please. I’ve got Ancestry membership and have been building a tree for nearly 4 years.

One thing that has stumped me is my grandfather’s exact DOB. I’ve only got Nov 1897 in Darwen, Lancashire. I’ve searched through all the Ancestry records but have been unable to find the exact DOB. He was married in Dec 1921 to Gladys Bury and to my Grandmother Clara Bury on 11 Apr 1936. He died on 27 Mar 1952 in Darwen.

If anyone can help me with this brick wall I’d be really grateful.

Thanks.

Have you tried to get an official birth record from the GRO?
Thank you George, I’d forgotten about that. It just seems unusual that I can’t find the exact DOB through Ancestry.
