Assistance needed with spelling of German or Polish surname please

Vincent Woytowicz married Maria Depdnlska. Her surname spelling seems off. On the birth and death record of their first child, her surname was spelled Deptulska. No images available. I am reluctant to create her profile without some guidance.

There are links to the sources in the Research Note section of his profile.

Will try to add them here.

Marriage  Child's Birth  Child's Death

Thanks in advance!

I suspect what was interpreted as an “n” could possibly be a “u”.

Sometimes “d” and “t” are interchanged in early German documents as the pronunciation is similar.

From FS you apparently can view the image at a FHC.

I would go with Deptulska. Seems the other one might be an error in transcription. Polish doesn't have multiple consonants like that.

Some words DO have multi consonants, i.e. gdzie, dobrze, cztery etc., but not usually proper names.

Thank you. That's what I thought.
