I asked several months ago about Orrin E Barber (Barber-4681) before I had additional info I learned when traveling to Wisconsin. At the Avoca, Wisconsin Cemetery, I found the grave of Rebecca Allen Barber (Allen-21869). She was born 1821 and died in 1863.  Census in 1850 and 1860 give her birth place as Pennsylvania. They were parents of 12 children (four died in infancy) according to the Barber headstone. After Rebecca died, Orrin Barber (Barber-4681) stayed in Wisconsin with his children until about 1870 when he moved with his four youngest children to Bloomington, Nebraska. He died only a year or two later and was buried in an unmarked grave near the graves of his son, James Monroe Barber, and his family in  the cemetery near the town of Bloomington.  Who are their parents?

All I could find was this registry of land in Iowa, Wisconsin in 1856:

I hope this helps somehow, Lori.

Thank you Brad for looking! I’ve seen this document and this is my Orrin. I was told the county records of birth and death were destroyed in a fire. I’m waiting for someone to post information they have about this family online because that may be my only hope at this point. Thank again!

There is a Rebecca Allen daughter of Harris Allen in Georgia around that time.

Have you tried searching the 1840 census records in New York? That might give you a county (or counties) to research.

I also recommend contacting the Iowa County Historical Society if you haven't already: https://iowacountyhistoricalsociety.org/.
