I created a wikitree profile for William Van Winkle (b. 1782?; d. 1853?), ancestor of President Joe Biden.  However, I am having problems finding a source for his supposed death "before 01 September 1853".  Can someone with an account with geni.com tell me if clicking on that in his geni.com profile gives a source?  https://www.geni.com/people/William-Van-Winkle/6000000173460813916  I have been unable to find him in census records from 1820 to 1850.  I have had much better luck researching his daughter Susan.

Thank you Lynden.  Yes, that did help me find information on his son Samuel (and I created a wikitree profile for him).  However, there doesn't seem to be anything on familysearch about William's death.
Yes, I know. Unfortunately, I come across that too in other profiles.
