Anyone up for a challenge in Cornwall (Lezant) sorting out parents of Arthur Dawe born about 1785? [closed]

Is anyone game enough to try and differentiate between assorted Arthur DAWEs in Cornwall and figure out this chap's parent(s)?
I've assumed Arthur was born about 1785 but have no basis other than his marriage (1812)  and when the children were baptized

On FamilySearch a source attached to his wife Elizabeth Masters suggest that there's also an Eliza in the family but her parents, an Arthur and Elizabeth Dawe, were at a different place to the other siblings actually shown. I'm not familiar enough with the area to know if this is a problem or a missing child - Carkeet, St Cleer as opposed to Foll(e)y, Lezant.

EDIT: Having found Carkeet (mistranscribed, understandably so, on FamSrch as Carkut, but referred to elsewhere as Karkeet in what looks likely to be her family in earlier generations) on a map, I could convince myself that the Eliza daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Masters) Dawe is indeed the same family, and that this Arthur is therefore rather likely to be the Arthur baptized 1781 Altarnun (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Dawe-904)

And had done so until I also found Eliza has two surviving baptism records, same date, place, mother Elizabeth - one showing father Arthur, the other Edward

Eliza has been added to WikiTree with notes saying why I've chosen Edward as her father: Dawe-1315

Not that this changes Arthur being highly likely to be the 1781 chap.

Thank you folks

A transcript of Eliza's baptism provides the clue that her father is called "labourer"  Cornwall : St Cleer : St Clarus : Parish Register : "Parish Register" database, FreeREG (https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_records/5817dbbbe93790ec8b470142 : viewed 2 Dec 2021) baptism Eliza Dawe 07 Jun 1818

The 1781 Arthur had a brother Walter:  Cornwall : Altarnun : St Nonna : Transcript : "Parish Register" database, FreeREG (https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_records/5817d4fde93790ec8b39a452 : viewed 2 Dec 2021) baptism Walter Dawe 25 Jul 1784

His parents could have come from Lewannick - if so, his father comes from another generation of Arthurs:  Cornwall : Lewannick : St Martin : Parish Register : "Parish Register" database, FreeREG (https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_records/59c7d431f493fd67db09bae2 : viewed 2 Dec 2021) baptism Arthur Dawe 27 Mar 1743   There is also an 1802 burial there

Looking at the baptismal record for William, I note that the father is designated "labourer"

That says to me that Eliza probably belongs to that family

Here's another Dawe baptism from St Cleer - an Edward, son of Arthur and Mary.  Cornwall : St Cleer : St Clarus : Parish Register : "Parish Register" database, FreeREG (https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_records/5817dbb3e93790ec8b46f47a : viewed 2 Dec 2021) baptism Edward Dawe 28 Jul 1793

Could be another brother of Arthur, or a close relative

Hi Lorna,

It would appear Arthur Dawe of Altarnun is your man baptism 17 Jun 1781 Altarnun https://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/more-info/?t=baptisms&id=2209332  father Arthur, mother Mary, married Elizabeth Masters in Lezant 29 Jun 1812 https://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/more-info/?t=marriages&id=787235 but I couldn’t find his parents marriage.

Altarnun isn’t far from Lezant, even for the 18th century, whilst your other candidate from Sheviock (near the Tamar estuary) would have been quite a distance and unlikely he would have travelled so far!

If the FS citations don’t have supporting images of the parish registers OPC would be a better source, and it’s far more user friendly for searching.

Good luck.

Thanks all for your comments.

My worry about Eliza fitting in the family of the Arthur marrying Elizabeth Masters is both the tight-ish, but not impossible, timeframe between baptisms of Eliza 7 Jun 1818 when her parents are given as at Carkut (which looks to be a mistranscribed Carkeet?), and William, baptized 19 Sep 1818 when they were at Folly.

And the change of place from Folly to Carkut.

The earlier Mary (sometimes shown as  Mary Ann)  was bap. 24 Dec 1815, also at Folley.

Mary Ann I'm comfortable with her being in the same family with William b. 1819 and  John as they appear together with Mary's illegitimate son William Masters Dawe in the 1841 census.
For Eliza, I assume Carkut is the same as the Karkeet that an earlier Arthur buried 1815 is shown as from (my assumption being this is the 1781 Arthur's father given his age)
Edit: SO, if Eliza does fit, then 1781 Arthur does indeed look very very plausible

For the earlier sibling John the 14 Oct 1812 baptism has the labourer, no place but does show mother's surname as Masters.

For the later sibling Thomas bap. 2 Feb 1823 again the place is Folley.

Noted with interest there are quite sizeable gaps between the children of Arthur and Elizabeth (Masters) Dawe.

Recall that baptism dates and birth dates don't necessarily follow.  Sometimes a family will postpone a baptism til a later date.
i do realise that Lois. It's the place change that causes me more concern.
