New member introducing myself and searching for Bessie Hanlon

I've enjoyed working with ancestry and familysearch while working on our family tree. We do have a brick wall, and of course it is in Ireland. We have managed to research every other branch with success.

My great grandmother, going by the census and my grandfather's recollection, was born in Armagh. We have located her in Belfast in 1899 with the street directory, then England having her first son. Again in Belfast in 1901 and 1911. My grandfather was born in Belfast and his little family all died there. He was orphaned at 12 years of age. We can find no marriage for Bessie Hanlon and James Hain, and no document mentioning her parents names. DNA looks to take us to Forkhill area. I would really like to solve this puzzle

Welcome to Wikitree, Ginny!

You sound like you have been very thorough but you can check out the resources from the Ireland project here:

Projects are a great way to learn more, discover new resources and connect with fellow researchers.

You might also want to add location tags to your post to get the attention of members with experience in those areas.

Come back here to the forum if you have any questions along the way.
