Research Notes
There were two Edward Marshalls who married women named Ellen in North Meols in 1796, the other being Edward Marshall, who married Ellen (Johnson) Marshall on 5 Jan 1796.
The children of Edward Marshall and Ellen (Johnson) Marshall were born in Birkdale and christened at North Meols parish church. Edward Marshall left a will confirming the names of several of his children.
In contrast, the older children attributed to this Edward Marshall and Ellen Blevin were born in Formby or Ainsdale, and christened in Formby. The youngest few children were born in Scarisbrick and christened in North Meols.
