Biography

Arthur was born on the 3rd of May 1883 in Sydenham, Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand to William Hunter and Susannah (Vickery) Hunter ^[1].

Mary Constance Horniblow and Arthur John Hunter married at St Bartholemew Church in Kaiapoi, New Zealand on the 31st of July 1907 ^[2][3], and had at least two children together:

1. Jack Carroll Hunter (1908 - ~1992)
2. Arthur Vicary Hunter (~1912 - ~1941).

Arthur served in the New Zealand Army in both World War I and II ^[4].

Arthur died on the 10th of December 1954 in Christchurch, Canterbury aged 71 ^[5][6], and is buried at Canterbury Memorial Garkdens and Crematorium in Bromley, Christchurch, New Zealand ^[7].

At the time of his death, he was registered as a labourer ^[6].
