Biography

Robert was born about 1786. His wife was Sarah Greer, and the family lived at Rossmore, Lissan and attended 3rd Cookstown Presbyterian as of about 1842. ^[1]

Their children were:

• James (24 Jan 1817), m. Ellen Glasgow 1 May 1839.
• Hugh (10 Jan 1822) m. Sarah Brown 8 Aug 1845.
• Robert (20 Jul 1824) to America Jan 1852.
• Sarah Betty (14 Jun 1827) m. Samuel Riddle; child born 17 May 1863.
• Margaret (21 Mar 1830) to America 18 July 1852.

As of 1831, the family at Rossmore consisted of 5 males and 3 females (all Presbyterian), and one R.C. female servant.

May be connected to William Crawford of the neighbouring townland of Killybasky: Sarah Elizabeth (Crawford) Riddall (1827-1914) was attended by Crawford relatives who are descendants of William.
