William was the son of James Clerke and Mary Saxby.[1][2] His birth date is not known. He may have been born at East Farleigh, Kent where his father had property.[3][4]
William lived at East Farleigh, Kent and in the parish of St Botolph's, London.[3][4][5]
William married Mary Weston, daughter of Jerome Weston[2] of Essex[6] and Mary Cave, at St Andrew's, Holborn, London. The licence for their marriage was dated 10 February 1598/9.[3][4][5] They had the following children:
Mary,[3][4] baptised at East Farleigh on 16 September 1610, after William's death [5][14]
William was buried at East Farleigh, Kent on 12 June 1610.[3][4]
