Biography
Samuel Brown was born on 1 April 1804 in Raymond, Maine. His parents were Jesse Brown and Elsy (Strout) Brown[1].
He married Patience Strout around 1825. They had five children[2]:
- 1. Daniel, born 19 May 1826
- 2. John Nelson, born 31 Jan 1827; married 1st Louisa Strout, 2nd Francina Spiller
- 3. Samuel, born 20 Feb 1832; married Abbie Brown
- 4. Rachel, born 27 Sep 1835; married Hamlin Buckman
- 5. Sally, born 13 Feb 1843; died 1861
Samuel passed away on 14 January 1871 in Raymond[3] and is buried in Raymond Hill Cemetery[4].
