Jemima was born in 1760. She passed away in 1830.


Jemima was born about 1759 in the British Colony of North Carolina. Her parents are not known.

Jemima (~21) married William Hardin (~29) (born on 11 Dec 1750; died in May 1803) in 1780.

In the 1820 census Jemima was in Madison, Kentucky.[1]

Excuse me but you are all so wrong. Jemima is Cherokee and Jemima dragging canoe is her real name. And excuse me but Jemima is and will always be the daughter of dragging canoe. I'm so sick of the cover ups and secrets and the erasing of tribal history

Please share the documentation that shows that Jamima had any Cherokee connection. There is no record of any daughters of Dragging Canoe.

I have in the past and yet y'all still don't believe me. Your brainwashed to believe he only had a son. But in reality he had many kids. You have to dig to find the answers. I do not have to show you but look put it all together dragging canoe was around in those areas when she was born. Two she was born in north Carolina in the heart of Cherokee country. Everything I find on her says Jemima Cherokee Hardin. How much more do I have to say. And records are only white mans census. Get real. Your Cherokee. You should know that. We go by oral history traditionally. Not everything has to have a paper. But if this isn't enough. Believe what you wish. But I'm a blood DNA direct descendant. And also of chief pathkiller.
