Mary Curtis Beers was born July 24 1844 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, United States, died there 5 Dec 1872, daughter of Cyrenius Beers and Mary (Curtis) Beers; married 19 Feb 1868 to Orrington Crews Foster, born 2 April 1841 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA, died there 18 Jan 1921, son of George F. Foster(1805–1880) and Susan Morrell (Dow) Foster (1810–1841) originally from Maine, USA; buried at Graceland Cemetery, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA Section E&F, Lot: 62 etc., Space: 12.^[1]

Obituary - Chicago Tribune Dec 6, 1912: MRS. MARY C. FOSTER, 68 years old. died yesterday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Manierre, 1401 Dearborn Avenue. Mrs. Foster was born at 75 Wabash Avenue, on the banks of the river, and had lived in the city all her life. Orrington C. Foster, her husband, also survives her. Cyrenius Beers, her father, was one of the first settlers in Chicago, and was a member of the first city council and the first fire department. There are three children, George B. Foster, Mary S. Manierre, and Orrington C. Foster Jr. A sister, Mrs. A. Varner, resides at 1337 Dearborn avenue. The funeral will be held on Saturday.
