Looking for lineage on Emil Schultze, born 1843 died 1878

What we know: from Prussia. Interpreter for Bismarck, came to United States in 1863 with his brother, fought in Kohler's Brigade during the Civil War, married Marguerite Buttlinger from Belgium, lived mostly in New York City after the war. Died in 1878 from rescuing a child in a pond, got sick and died. Has at least one son, Frederick William Schultze.

I suggest you look at the list of Schultz surnames on WikiTree. There are over 7,000. There are more than 10 Emil Schultz listed.

Use the ʻfindʻ menu. Select ʻsearchʻ, enter the information you have for Emil. If you want to search the entire list, type Schultz in the Surname box.
