getPerson birthdate bug? [closed]

Question

When I look at the profile of Rhodes-10179, I see that she was "Born about 1826 ...". The top line of her profile says "Susan Ameilia (Rhodes) Hults (abt. 1826 - abt. 1869)".

If I use getPerson to retrieve her birthdate, it returns "BirthDate":"0000-00-00".

Should it not return the "abt. 1826" result? Any hints?

John, there has been a recent merge from Rhodes-10179 into Rhodes-8501 (see the Changes). Rhodes-10179 had no birthdate (i.e. it had 0000-00-00). The current profile Rhodes-8501 has the about 1826 birthdate.

What does getPerson say about Rhodes-8501?

Edited to add:  Because of the merge, Rhodes-10179 redirects to Rhodes-8501.

Edited again: Maybe the bug is that getPerson does not respect the redirect. No: there is an input field to control that.

Sorry, John, I don't know. I think the IsRedirect field in the getPerson output tells you whether it is a redirect. But I can't see anything that says where the redirect goes, unless it can be worked out from Id or PageId. Try

Hang on, the example page shows a boolean resolveRedirect field. Can you turn that on in your request?
